Yoga sutra 1.40
paramāṇu parama-mahattva-anto-‘sya vaśīkāraḥ
By these practices, mastery is gained which extends from the smallest atom to the object of the greatest magnitude.
The practices to which Patanjali is referring are those set out in the previous sutras 1.33 to 1.39.
By meditating upon the microcosm, you can acquire steadiness over those objects, and by meditating upon the macrocosm, you can acquire stability that extends to infinity.
