dhruve tad-gati-jñānam
Knowledge of the movement of the stars comes from saṁyama on the Pole-Star.
In this Sutra the fixed polestar is the eternal spirit about which all things move, as well as the star toward which points the axis of the earth’s rotation. It is a symbol of permanence and stability. As such, it invites you to meditate on the same and contemplate the impermanence of everything else.
