Yoga Sutra 3.39

Udāna-jayāt-jala-paṅka-kaṇṭak-ādiṣu-asaṅgh utkrāntih-ca

Through  mastery of the ascending energy in your body, there is elevation and disengagement from water, mud, thorns, etc.

Udāna is one of five vital energies (the energy of the head and throat, that is the upward-moving breath, which directs the flow of prāṇa from the lower to the higher planes of consciousness); the five other vital energies being:  prāṇa (inward moving life force/energy within us), apāna (outward moving energy), vyāna (circulation of energy) and samāna (digestion and assimilation).

By mastery over udāna, you can levitate and pass without contact over water, mire, thorns etc., that is rise above what would otherwise make you wet, soiled or injured.
