Nature flows according to its potential
Change that is forceful goes against nature. Change that happens when conditions are ripe reflects nature.
When obstacles are removed, life flows according to its own potentiality, like when a farmer tends to his or her land and diverts the flow of water from one field to another to irrigate the field that needs it. The farmer does not actually cause the plants in the field to grow. Instead, the farmer creates the conditions conducive for growth like watering, weeding, feeding, etc.
The same rule as set out above applies when you want to change a pattern in your life. For example, a healthy mind cannot exist in an unhealth body.
