pravṛtti-bhede prayojakaṃ cittam-ekam-anekeṣām
The single mind may act upon many others depending on the mode of operation
The previous aphorism said that a single person/guru might influence several others. The depth and form of this influence may vary according to the relevant context.
For example, when addressing an audience/group the relationship is different as compared to a one-to-one session. This is because each person’s needs, expectations, abilities, concentration levels, etc. are different. It is incorrect to assume that everyone has the same level of understanding, and it takes intuition and observation skills to influence the many.
