Yoga Sutra 3.08


A little look at the third Yoga Sutra

tadapi bahir-aṅgaṁ nirbījasya


Even these last three limbs are external when compared to a “seedless” state.


No matter how subtle or internal they might be, the three limbs three [dharana, dhyana, and samadhi] that constitute saṁyama are gross or external as compared to the true experience of nirbījasya samadhi.


Thus, the above describes “levels” through which you must progress, each in turn, at your own pace.
