Stability [comes from saṁyama] on the tortoise nadi

The thoracic cage and sternum or “heat centre” and diaphragm is the place of prana, a very important breathing space.  The same is likened to a tortoise withdrawing into its shell, protecting its vital organs.  It also serves to describe a particular meditative focus which brings about stability in mind and body.
